Bio

places I’ve been, things I’ve seen

Professional

I’m the Managing Partner at Undeterred Capital, an early stage venture firm focused on deep tech and bioscience companies, including in fields like health, biological platforms, and applied robotics.

Previously I was co-founder and COO at Multiply Labs, a Y Combinator-backed pharmaceutical robotics company that launched the first 3D printed pill in the market.

I was also a research fellow at the MIT Media Lab where I studied crypto applications in developing countries as part of the Digital Currency Initiative, and I was in MIT’s MBA program until I dropped out to start Multiply. Prior to that, I was a strategy consultant at Accenture Digital for a few years after graduating from Duke.

I also guest lecture at universities including Caltech, USC, and Duke, among others, often on the process of commercializing scientific and technological breakthroughs.

Personal

I met my wife Lisa in Boston when we were first-year MBA students at MIT. We met on a trip to Iceland where she convinced a TSA agent to let 20 students through a priority boarding lane using only a receipt from a cocktail waitress.

I dropped out of MIT to go through Y Combinator in San Francisco after starting Multiply Labs. Three years later, Lisa and I made the jump to Los Angeles.

Today, we live in Los Angeles with our dog Henry.
